Nearly doubling its footprint in 2016 with 20 new stores, the nationwide franchise-based growth plan at Teriyaki Madness is beginning to take shape. A few years back, CEO Michael Haith relinquished his stake in the Maui Wowi concept (now with MTY Food Group), bought out the Teriyaki Madness founders and turned the focus of “TMad” to franchising. This QSR “Seattle-style teriyaki” concept with a build-a-bowl approach looks to open approximately 25 units in 2017 and recently signed its largest franchise deal to date – a 20-unit agreement for the greater Phoenix market.
