Free Trial• The Kroger Co. has partnered with Google to offer pickup service functionality through the company’s Maps app across 96 stores in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Customers can add their order to Google Maps, it will remind them when it’s time to go to the store and then share their arrival time with the retailer.

• Publix Super Markets Inc. has begun providing Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccinations in Florida to people ages 12 and older.

 

Retail

• Walmart Canada announced it will hold a “Vax-a-thon” event to help more Canadians get vaccinated against COVID-19. Starting Aug. 19, vaccines will be available on a walk-in basis at more than 250 Walmart Canada pharmacies.

 

Restaurant

• Brinker International Inc. has launched delivery-only virtual brand Maggiano’s Italian Classics. The company launched their first brand, It’s Just Wings, last year in response to the pandemic.
