• Sprouts Farmers Markets Inc. reported it plans to open its first store in New York. The 24,000 sq. ft. location is scheduled to open in 2026.

• Vallarta Supermarkets recently opened a new 53,000 sq. ft. location in Hemet, CA.

• Advance Auto Parts Inc. plans to open 30 new U.S. locations in 2025, and an additional 100 new locations through 2027.

• Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited announced that Matt Moore will join the company as Exec VP and Chief Commercial Officer.

• Carter’s Inc. has appointed Douglas Palladini as CEO and President of the company.

• The Container Store Inc. announced its CEO, Satish Malhotra, has resigned.

• Dollar Tree Stores Inc. reported it has sold Family Dollar Stores Inc to private investors. The deal is expected to close within 90 days.

• Five Below Inc. recently hired Jacob Hawkins as its new Chief Marketing Officer.

• Five Below Inc. plans to open 150 new store locations this year.

• Macy’s Inc. announced Daniel Leppo has been appointed Senior VP and GMM Men’s and Kids. He succeeds Sam Archibald, who has left the retailer.

• PGA TOUR Superstore, Inc. recently opened its 75^th location. The 35,000 sq. ft. store is in Grand Rapids, MI.

• Primark USA will open a new 32,000 sq. ft. store location in Woodbridge, VA, next month.

• Sally Beauty Holdings, Inc. has partnered with Uber Eats as a delivery option for customers.

• Target Corporation announced it will open a new 1,400,000 sq. ft distribution center in New Kent, VA, in 2027.

• Torrid Holdings Inc. reported it plans to close 40 to 50 store locations in 2025.

• &pizza announced its first franchising program. The company will open about 50 restaurants each year to reach 300 locations by 2030. The expansion will focus on Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, DC.

• Dine Brands Global, Inc. is planning to open 13 new dual-branded Applebee’s and IHOP restaurant locations this year, and another 14 of the locations in 2026.

• Firebirds International has promoted Steve Sturm to COO. Andy Seiple has been promoted to Corporate Executive Chef.

• Bravo Brio Restaurants, LLC has named Craig Miller as CEO of the company.

• Just Salad LLC announced Jennifer Lally has been promoted to Chief Marketing Officer.​ Mark Berinato has been appointed Chief Digital Officer.​ Stephen Blum has been named Chief Development Officer.​
