• A meat packing plant in Detroit, Mi, has recalled 167,277 pounds of ground beef that could be contaminated with E. coli. There is concern that restaurants could have the contaminated meat in their fridges and freezers and have been instructed to dispose of the product.

• Fatburger planning to open co-branded Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express locations in Mexico.
• Gotham Restaurant in New York City has permanently closed after 40 years in business. The company was forced to close due to unpaid debt that began to accrue during the pandemic.
• Jack in the Box has refranchised 47 Del Taco restaurants.
• Noodles & Company has launched their first ever online merchandise store that will be selling its current collection through the end of the year.
• Starbucks has confirmed that they are dealing with disruption to employee scheduling following a ransomware attack on their third-party vendor, Blue Yonder.
