• Dom’s Kitchen & Market and Foxtrot Ventures Inc. announced that they are merging. They will reorganize under a new entity called Outfox Hospitality. Liz Williams, current CEO of Foxtrot Ventures Inc., will be the CEO of Outfox Hospitality. The merger is expected to close by the end of the year.
• Fareway Stores Inc. is relocating its store in Eldora, IA. The new 10,600 sq. ft. store is set to open in 2025 and will be located across the street.
• The Giant Company has named Brian Lorenz VP of Omnichannel Fresh Merchandising and Kathy Sweigert as VP of the Mid-Atlantic Division.
• Inserra Supermarkets Inc. recently opened a new 60,000 sq. ft. ShopRite store in Elmwood Park, NJ.
• K-VA-T Food Stores Inc. will open three new Food City supermarkets early next year. The company is planning a 46,000 sq. ft. location in Ocoee, TN, a 54,000 sq. ft. location in Fort Payne, AL, and a 60,000 sq. ft. location in Huntsville, AL.
• Skogen’s Festival Foods has promoted Crystal Seiler to the role of VP of Finance.
• SpartanNash Company has promoted Amy McClellan to Exec VP and Chief Customer Officer. She succeeds David Sisk, who is leaving the company.
• Stater Bros. Holdings Inc. announced it has promoted Gil Salazar to the position of Senior VP of Information Technology and CIO of the company.

• Beyond, Inc. has appointed Marcus Lemonis as Co-Chairman.
• The Container Store Inc. has opened its 100th store. The 15,000 sq. ft. location is in Princeton, NJ.
• Genesco Inc. has named Andy Gray as President of Journey Group. He will succeed Mario Gallione, who is retiring.
• Hudson’s Bay Company announced that Elizabeth Rodbell has been named as President and CEO of the Hudson’s Bay division in Canada.
• It’Sugar has opened a 1,245 sq. ft. store-within-a-store concepts in Macy’s Inc. locations on State Street in Chicago, IL, and at Dadeland Mall in Miami, FL. In 2024, It’Sugar plans to open an 18,000 sq. ft. store location in Miami, FL, and an 8,500 sq. ft. location in Nashville, TN.
• Kodiak Building Partners announced it has promoted Beau Hayes to Senior VP of its Gypsum Division. Chris Borrego has been promoted to Senior VP. Cliff Shimer has also been promoted to Senior VP.
• Macy’s, Inc. announced that Sharon Otterman has been named Chief Marketing Officer of Macy’s.
• Nordstrom Inc. announced it plans to open 17 new Nordstrom Rack stores over the next year, in AZ, CA, FL, GA, IL, NC, NY, OH, and TX.
• Pet Supermarket Inc. announced it has named Rich Tannenbaum as its new CEO.
• RH has opened a new 62,000 sq. ft. location in Indianapolis, IN.
• Westlake Ace Hardware announced Jeremy Van Ommeren has been promoted to Divisional VP, and Hilary Murray has been named Director of Real Estate.
• Wilson Sporting Goods Co. is opening a new 2,600 sq. ft. store at The Mall of America. It will be the retailer’s first location in Minnesota.
Restaurant
• Cracker Barrel is experiencing a downturn with a same-store sales decline of 8.1% this quarter.
• Dunkin’ has hired Martha Stewart to promote their new merchandise.
• IHOP has partnered with Warner Bros. to temporarily transform the menu to Wonka theme based on the new film.
• Inspire Brands has named Scott Murphy as Chief Brand Officer for all restaurants operated by the company and Dan Lynn has been named Chief Commercial and Restaurant Officer.
• Kitchen United, a ghost kitchen operator, has closed all of their locations inside Kroger supermarkets. The company did not give a reason for the closure and is looking to move back into the software business.
