Jim Tsipakis has been promoted to Exec VP, President of Supermarkets and Pharmacy. Dave Burnworth has been promoted to Exec VP, CFO. Graham Watkins has been promoted to Exec VP, Chief Information and Supply Chain Officer. Justin Weinstein has been named Exec VP, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.

• Grocery Outlet Holding Corp. will open its first store in Las Vegas, NV, this week. The new location is the 450th for the company which also announced the opening of a new store in Lincoln City, OR, next week.

• Lipari Foods Inc. has appointed Zachary Gordon as its new CFO. He will succeed Dave Littleson, who is retiring.

• Lund Food Holdings Inc. announced it plans to open a new 44,600 sq. ft. location in Apple Valley, MN on September 14.

• RaceTrac Petroleum Inc. announced it plans to open its first convenience store in Ohio.

• SpartaNash Company announced it has promoted Derek Tufts to the role of VP Human Resources.

• Bath & Body Works plans to hire 30,000 seasonal associates for its stores across the United States and Canada.

• Best Buy Co. Inc. announced it will open a new 800,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Lancaster, TX.

• The Body Shop Inc. will begin a partnership with Shoppers Drug Mart Corporation to sell its products at select drug stores.

• Dollar Tree Stores Inc. has hired Jonathan Leiken as its new Exec VP, Chief Legal Officer and Secretary.

• McCoy’s Building Supply announced John Brown has been promoted to Director of Culture and Customer Experience. Trevor Crozier was promoted to Director of Merchandising. Luke Wonder has been hired as the company’s new Director of Strategic Accounts.

• Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia Co. has named Eli Kumekpor as its new CEO. He succeeds Kevin Wulff, who is retiring.

• The Neiman Marcus Group announced Bruce Pask has been promoted to Senior Editorial Director.

• Nordstrom Inc. reported it has closed its five-story department store in San Francisco, CA.

• Uniqlo announced Daisuke Tsukagoshi will become CEO of the company. He will take over the role from Tadashi Yanai, Chairman and Founder of the company.

• Dog Haus International LLC. has named Michael Montagano as CEO.

• Grubhub has partnered with Amazon to bring their Just Walk Out Technology to college campuses.

• Peter Piper Pizza has named Genaro Perex as Chief Marketing Officer.

• Pokeworks has named Regina Cheung as CEO. Cheung previously served as CFO.

• Taco Bell is testing gelato for the first time. The dessert will be flavored after their signature Baja Blast drink and will test in a California location for two weeks.

• Toppers Pizza has named Mac Malchow as VP of Development; Matt Martin as VP of Operations; and Steve Armstrong as Director of Corporate Operations.
