• Albertsons LLC reported that Tom Moriarty will join the company as Exec VP and General Counsel, effective June 5, 2023. He succeeds Juliette Pryor, who left the company.
• Big Y Foods Inc has promoted April Carchietta to Director of Employee Experience and Organizational Development; Chris Elliott to Director of Store Design and Construction; Raanan Hartman to District Director; Jamie Swensen to Director of Risk Management; and Michael Whitehead to Director of Center Store. The company also announced it has named Maggie E. D’Amour to the newly created position of Senior Manager of Environmental, Social and Governance.
• BP Products North America Inc. announced it has named Debi Boffa as CEO-designate and Babu Rajalingam as CFO-designate of TravelCenters of America, taking over for outgoing CEO Jonathan Pertchik and CFO Peter Crage.
• H-E-B announced it will open an ecommerce fulfillment center in Plano, TX, later this summer, and it also is set to begin construction on a second store in Frisco, TX.
• Hy-Vee Inc. announced it will open its first store in Tennessee. There are four new locations planned for the state.
• Publix Super Markets Inc. reported it is phasing out its GreenWise Market concept, transitioning the locations to traditional Publix stores.
• US Foods Inc. is acquiring Renzi Foodservice, a distributor in Watertown, NY.

• Belk Inc. reported it will open 10 new Belk Outlet stores this month in FL, GA, LA, MD, OK, TX, VA, and WV.
• BJ’s Wholesale Club Holdings Inc. announced its CIO, Scott Kessler, is leaving the company.
• Dollar General Corp. has promoted Steve Deckard to Exec VP, Growth and Emerging Markets, effective June 1, 2023.
• Foot Locker Inc. announced the appointment of Mike Baughn as Exec VP and CFO, effective June 12.
• L.L. Bean Inc. expects to complete its new corporate headquarters in Freeport, ME, on June 15.
• Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. has appointed Brie Olson as its CEO, effective June 15. Mike Relich will retire as co-CEO and will start a new role as Vice Chairman. Russell Bowers will be appointed COO, in addition to his role of CFO.
• Primark USA will open three new stores this summer in Elizabeth, NJ; Albany, NY; and Valley Stream, NY.
• Spencer Gifts LLC is expanding its corporate headquarters in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. The project will add 81,000 sq. ft. of office space and amenities by the spring of 2024.
• Thrifty White Drug Stores Inc. reported Robert Narveson, President and CEO, is stepping down from his role. Justin Heiser, current COO, will take over the reins in January 2024. Narveson will remain as Chairman.
• Walmart Stores Inc. has opened its first high-tech Market Fulfillment Center in Bentonville, AR.

• BonChon has named Bryan Shin as CEO.
• Cava has filed an IPO and seeks to go public later this year.
• Noodles & Company CFO Carl Lukach is stepping down on June 9th. CEO Dave Boennighausen will act as interim CFO while the company searches for a replacement.
• Panera Bread is preparing for an IPO. The company also announced that José Alberto Dueñas will take over as CEO on July 1st.
• Smoothie King has hired Camille Hymes as Chief Operating Officer.
• Texas Roadhouse has named Chris Monroe Chief Financial Officer.
• T.G.I. Friday’s CEO Ray Blanchette is stepping down effectively immediately. Rohit Manocha, chairman of the board, will serve as interim CEO as the company seeks a replacement.
