• Trader Joe’s Co. plans to open a store location in College Park, MD. The company expects to open two other stores by the end of this year, in Tigard, OR, and Providence, RI. Trader Joe’s will also open a new store in Draper, UT, in 2023.

• ABC Supply Co. Inc. announced that it has acquired Kaycan, a manufacturer and distributor of siding and other building materials.
• Ace Hardware Corp. will open a new Westlake Ace Hardware store in Jenks, OK, in late 2023.
• Amazon.com Inc. has opened its second Amazon Style store in Columbus, OH.
• Bloomingdale’s will open its second, smaller-format Bloomie’s store on November 17 in Skokie, IL.
• Conn’s HomePlus reported that Chandra Holt has stepped down as President and CEO. Norman L. Miller has been named Interim President and CEO.
• Eyemart Express LLC has appointed Mike Nuzzo as CEO. He succeeds interim CEO Jason Shanks, who has served in the role since April and will return to his roles as General Counsel and Director of Operations.
• LL Flooring Holdings, Inc. announced Chastity Grosh has been named as the new Senior VP and Chief Accounting Officer.
• Nordstrom Inc. announced that Anne Bramman, CFO, is leaving the company in December. Michael Maher will assume the role of Interim CFO.
• Ollie’s Bargain Outlet reported it has appointed Rob Helm as Senior VP and CFO.
• Recreational Equipment Inc. has named Mary-Farrell Tarbox as its VP of Stores and Retail Operations.
• Recreational Equipment Inc. will open a 21,100 sq. ft. store at Huntington Shopping Center in Huntington, NY, in Summer 2023.

• Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar will have to close a franchised location in New York City’s Times Square after an eviction notice was ordered for failure to pay rent dating back to 2019.
• Capital Tacos has appointed Joel Bulger as the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer.
• Dog Haus has opened a new location in Houston, TX.
• El Pollo Loco has appointed Maria Hollandsworth as COO.
• Jack in the Box has relaunched their website and mobile app in order to integrate their loyalty program.
• Mountain Mike’s Pizza has opened a new location in Draper, UT.
• McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme are testing a collaboration in 9 Kentucky McDonald’s locations that will sell Krispy Kreme original glazed doughnuts.
• Starbucks is selling their brand Seattle’s Best Coffee to Nestle.
• Starbucks is facing a defamation lawsuit from Union SBWorkers claiming that the company filed a false police report against employees after they demanded a raise in August. The police report accuses the workers of assault and kidnapping.
• WaBa Grill has signed a franchise deal to open 10 new locations in Dallas, TX over the next six years.
• Walk-On’s has opened a new location in Myrtle Beach, SC.
