• Burberry has appointed Daniel Lee as its new Chief Creative Officer.
• Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. announced it plans to hire up to 9,000 seasonal employees for positions at its stores across the country.
• Dollar Tree Stores Inc. announced that Michael Creedon, Jr. will be joining the company as COO. The retailer has also named Pedro Voyer as Chief Development Officer.
• Eddie Bauer Inc. reported it has named Tim Bantle as CEO.
• JCPenney Company, Inc. is expanding its new beauty concept nationwide. The retailer will roll out “JCPenney Beauty” shops to 300 stores by early 2023 and another 600 stores by spring 2023.
• Nordstrom Inc. plans to open its second Nordstrom Rack location in Las Vegas, NV. The 31,000 sq. ft. location is expected to open in spring 2023.
• Peloton Interactive, Inc. has entered into a partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. in which it will open branded fitness shops inside more than 100 Dick’s Sporting Goods stores early this holiday season, and also plans to sell its products on the company’s website.
• PGA TOUR Superstore has promoted Dick Sullivan to Executive Chairman and CEO, and Jill Spiegel to President.
• Scherer Brothers Lumber Co. announced that COO Mark A. Scherer has been promoted to the additional role of President. Peter Scherer will retire from the role of President and will remain Chairman and CEO.
