• Albertsons LLC announced Christine Rupp, Chief Customer and Digital Officer, has left the company.

• Amazon.com Inc. is opening two more Amazon Fresh grocery stores, including the first location in New York, in Oceanside. The other new store will open in Norridge, IL.

• The Kroger Co. is opening two new distribution centers in Nashville, TN, and Maywood, IL.

• Lidl US, LLC has opened its first store in Baltimore. The grocery retailer is opening a new location in Atlanta next month.

• Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Inc. reported it plans to hire 500 new employees this month.

• Publix Super Markets Inc. recently opened a new store in Beaufort, SC.

• United Natural Foods Inc. named Kristyn Farahmand as Director of Investor Relations, Finance and Transformation. Tehzin Chadwick was named Director of Safety and Food Safety. Usman Waheed was named CIO. Angie Balian has been named Director of Branding. Autumn Price is now Director of Government Affairs.

• Big Creek Lumber Co. Inc. announced that it has acquired O’Connor Lumber Co. in Vallejo, CA.

• Builders Alliance LLC reported it has promoted Wade Gardner to President of the company.

• Costello’s Ace Hardware has appointed of Frank Vitale to the role of COO.

• Dollar General Corp. announced Todd Vasos is retiring as CEO effective November 1. He will be succeeded by Jeffery Owen, the retailer’s current COO.

• Hanna Andersson Inc. has appointed Aimee Lapic as its new CEO.

• Kirkland’s Inc. reported that its CFO and COO Nicole Strain will be leaving the company, effective August 31.

• Kohl’s Corporation is planning to open a new location in downtown Milwaukee. The store will be about 35,000 sq. ft., which is less than half the size of a typical Kohl’s store. The retailer plans to open 100 small format stores during the next four years.

• Kohl’s Corporation announced that its Chief Technology and Supply Chain Officer, Paul Gaffney, will leave the company on August 1. Siobhan McFeeney has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer, effective immediately.

• Leslie’s Poolmart Inc. has opened 11 new stores this summer and expanded into Wisconsin.

• Macy’s Inc. has partnered with Toys“R”Us to offer in-store shops beginning October 15. The shops will range from 1,000 to up to 10,000 sq. ft. and will be located in Macy’s flagship stores in Atlanta, Chicago, Honolulu, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco.

• Nordstrom Inc. announced it has promoted Deniz Anders to Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer. The retailer also announced Nina Barjesteh is joining the company as President, Nordstrom Product Group.

• PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. announced Drew Meng as its new CEO. Robert Roche has been named its new CFO.

• PVH Corp. has named David Savman as Exec VP and Chief Supply Chain Officer. He succeeds Sarah Clarke, who is leaving the company as of October 31.

• Rite Aid Corporation has opened its new headquarters in Philadelphia, at 1200 Intrepid Avenue.

• Ross Stores Inc. has opened 21 new Ross Dress for Less and 8 dd’s Discounts stores in June and July.

• Saks Incorporated has appointed Dr. Alicia Williams as VP, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

• Tractor Supply Co. announced that Kimberley Gardiner has joined the retailer as Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer. She succeeds Christi Korzekwa who previously announced her plans to retire.

• Victoria’s Secret & Co. announced it has appointed Amy Hauk as CEO of Victoria’s Secret and Pink. Christine Rupp will join the company as Chief Customer Officer. Greg Unis has been named Chief Growth Officer.

• Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. reported Lauren Brindley, Group VP Beauty and Personal Care, is stepping down from her position at the end of July.

• Walmart Stores Inc. has opened a new 1.8 million sq. ft. distribution center in Shippensburg, PA.

Restaurant

• Chili’s Grill & Bar has hired George Felix as Chief Marketing Officer.

• Chipotle has permanently closed their first store that unionized. The company cited understaffing as the reason behind the closure. Understaffing is also one of the main complaints employees cited when they voted to unionize.

• Eggs Up Grill has opened a new location in Madison, AL.

• Hooters has hired Cheryl Whiting-Kish as Chief People Officer.

• Huey Magoo’s has opened a new location in Dacula, GA.

• KFC is testing chicken nuggets at select restaurants in North Carolina.

• Zaxby’s has opened a new location in Chester, VA.
