• Couche-Tard Inc. reported it will deploy more than 10,000 Mashgin Touchless Checkout Systems to more than 7,000 of its Circle K and Couche-Tard stores in the United States, Canada and Europe during the next three years.

• The Giant Company announced Jennifer Heinzen Krueger has been named VP of Team Experience. She replaces Matt Lutcavage who is pursuing a new opportunity.

• The Kroger Co. recently opened a new 61,000 sq. ft. e-commerce fulfillment center in Lockbourne, OH.

 

Retail

• Amazon.com Inc. has opened it’s first clothing store. The Amazon Style location is 30,000 sq. ft. and located in Glendale, CA.

• Orgain Building Supply Co. announced it has been acquired by Ambassador Supply.

• Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. announced that it has acquired Complete Supply, Inc.

• Conn’s HomePlus and Belk Inc. are partnering to pilot a store-within-a-store concept in select Belk locations and online beginning this summer.

• Costco Wholesale Corp. plans to open 14 store locations in the US, two in Canada and its first in New Zealand during fiscal 2022.

• Dollar General Corp. announced Andrew Newkirk will join the company as Senior VP of Distribution. Mary Beth Hawthorne has also joined the company as VP of Store Operations for the northeast region. Kimberly Huffman and Charlotte Hutchins were promoted to VP of Human Resources. Matt Lucas, Rebecca Powers and Monty Williams were named VP of Distribution. Craig Marsh was promoted to VP of Information Technology. Matthew Simonsen is now Senior VP of Real Estate Development. Jackie Li has been promoted to Senior VP of Private Brands and Global Sourcing.

• Foot Locker Inc. has appointed Neil Bansal to the newly created position of Exec VP and Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer.

• Intermix named Karen Katz as Interim CEO. She replaces Jyothi Rao, who is stepping down.

• McCoy’s Building Supply announced that Meagan McCoy Jones has been named as President and CEO. She succeeds Brian McCoy, who is retiring.

• Saks Incorporated has renamed its loyalty program, which is now called Off 5th Rewards.

• Sears Hometown and Outlet Stores Inc. announced 90 Sears Hometown Dealer stores in the U.S. are holding liquidation sales and are closing.

• US LBM Holdings, LLC has acquired Truss Fab Companies, a manufacturer and supplier.

• Walmart Stores Inc. is expanding its partnership with Gap Inc. by launching Gap Home Kids, with an assortment of products available exclusively at Walmart.com.

• West Marine Products Inc. reported Stacy Renfro has been named as its new Chief Commercial Officer.

• Wilson Sporting Goods Co. recently opened its second store in New York, a two-floor, 8,000 sq. ft. location on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

• Chick-fil-A is testing robotic delivery units in two location in Texas.

• Chipotle is now accepting cryptocurrency as a form of payment at all of their locations.

• Dickey’s Barbecue has opened a new location in Hauppauge, NY.

• Dog Haus International LLC. has hired Tim Perreira as Supply Chain Consultant.

• Huey Magoo’s Restaurants LLC. has opened a new location in Oakland Park, FL.

• Mountain Mike’s has opened a new Placerville, CA.

• Panda Express has rolled out automated woks to 120 of their restaurants and they plan to have them in an additional 240 locations by the end of the year.

• Robeks Corp. has hired Todd Peterson as Chief Development Officer.

• The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill has opened in Florham Park, NJ.

• The Habit Burger Grill has opened a new location in San Diego, CA.
