• United Natural Foods Inc. announced that its COO Eric Dorne will retire from the company effective Oct. 29, 2022.
• Wegmans Food Markets Inc. has opened a new 81,300 sq. ft. store in Carlyle, VA.
• Whole Foods Market Inc. announced it will open a new 54,000 sq. ft. store in Manhattan on June 1.
• Yesway has expanded in Texas and New Mexico with the opening of new Allsup stores in Mineral Wells, TX, and Alamogordo, NM.

• Belk Inc. announced that its CEO Nir Patel is leaving the company. Don Hendricks, currently President of the retailer, has been appointed Interim CEO.
• The Container Store Inc. plans to open 76 new store locations during the next five years, including two this year.
• Cotton On USA Inc. reported it will open 17 new store locations in AZ, CA, CO, CT, NJ, NY, and OR in 2022-2023.
• Crate & Barrel has promoted Alicia Waters to Exec VP for Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids. Sebastian Brauer has been promoted to Senior VP for Product Design, Development and Metaverse. Joan King has been promoted to Exec VP of Digital and International Growth.
• Do it Best Corp. has named Jason Hanegan as its new National Sales Manager.
• Dollar Tree Stores Inc. has hired John Flanigan as Chief Supply Chain Officer and Larry Gatta as Chief Merchandising Officer for Family Dollar Stores Inc.
• GameStop Holdings Corp. has appointed Nir Patel to the role of COO.
• House-Hasson Hardware Co. Inc. has named Jason Rasmussen as its new VP of Merchandising, taking over for Jason Monroe.
• Lowe’s Companies Inc. has opened a new 200,000 sq. ft. Pro Fulfillment Center dedicated to serving pro customers and contractors in Charlotte, NC.
• Mango recently opened a 23,000 sq. ft. flagship in New York City. The company plans to open approximately 30 U.S. stores during the next three in Miami, Boca Raton, Orlando and Tampa, FL, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix and Tucson, AZ, Houston and Dallas, TX, Las Vegas, NV, and Los Angeles, San Diego and San Jose, CA.

• Sportsman’s Warehouse Holdings Inc. has named Sruti Patnaik as its new CIO.
• Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. has announced Anita Patel is joining the company in the newly created role of VP Pharmacy Services Development. Rina Shah was named to a newly created role of VP Pharmacy of the future and healthcare segments.
• Walmart Canada has named Nabeela Ixtabalan as COO. Sam Wankowski has been named Chief Merchandising Officer. John Bayliss was promoted to Exec VP and Chief Transformation Officer. Laurent Duray was promoted to Chief E-commerce Officer.
• Warby Parker Inc. has opened eight new stores this year, including its first store in Nebraska.
