• Amazon.com Inc. will open three new Amazon Fresh stores in Southern California, in Mission Viejo, LaVerne and Murrietta, in the next couple weeks.
• Boyett Petroleum has named Dale Boyett as CEO. The retailer has appointed Scott Castle as its new President, succeeding Dale Boyett.
• Buc-ee’s Ltd. opened its first travel center in Kentucky on April 19.
• Casey’s General Stores Inc. recently opened its first convenience store without any gas pumps, in Des Moines, IA.
• Circle K Stores Inc. is expanding in the Charlotte, NC, area through a new franchise development agreement that will bring nine new Circle K locations to the region over the next five years.
• Foxtrot Ventures Inc plans to open four new convenience stores in DC, MD, and VA by the end of 2022. This will mark the retailer’s first entry into Maryland.
• The Kroger Co. plans to add 23,000 associates across operations during a hybrid employment event this weekend.
• Sheetz Inc. is expanding into western Ohio by opening approximately 20 new store locations in Dayton over the next five years. The retailer is aiming to open its first Dayton store in 2024.
• Wegmans Food Markets Inc. reported it plans to open a new supermarket in Lake Grove, NY, its first in New York’s Long Island market.

• Altar’d State has named Cristina Ceresoli as Chief Marketing Officer. The retailer has promoted Dana Seguin to Brand President of its Arula brand, and Nicole Sewall to Senior VP of Vow’d.
• Gap Inc. announced that Old Navy President and CEO Nancy Green is leaving the retailer.
• L & W Supply has acquired the assets of DWS Building Supply with two locations in El Paso, TX, and one in Las Cruces, NM.
• Maurices Inc. reported it plans to open 12 new store locations this year.
• National Association of Chain Drug Stores announced Brian Nightengale has been elected Chairman. Andre Persaud was elected Vice Chairman, and Mike Wysong was elected Treasurer. Each officer will serve for one year, covering the 2022-23 term.
• Tapestry, Inc. has appointed David L. Casey as Chief Inclusion and Social Impact Officer, effective May 16, 2022.
• UFP Industries announced that President and COO Patrick Webster will retire at the end of 2022.
• Walmart Stores Inc. has opened its seventh import distribution center. The three million sq. ft. facility is located in Ridgeville, SC.

• Moe’s Southwest Grill has hired Annica Conrad as VP of Marketing and Mike Smith as VP of Operations.
• Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has remodeled their Canal Street location to feature ordering kiosks and digital order boards. This is the first location to have these digital enhancements.
• Teriyaki Madness has signed a franchise agreement to open 35 new locations.
• Twin Peaks has signed a franchise agreement to open 3 new location in the Pittsburgh area starting this year.
