Supermarket, Grocery, & C-Store

• Grocery Outlet Inc. has made its e-commerce debut thanks to a partnership with Instacart. The grocery retailer will offer same-day delivery.

 

Retail

• 99 Cents Only Stores reported it is now delivering online orders in two hours or less, via Instacart.

• The Body Shop Inc. is partnering with Instacart to offer same-day fulfillment of online orders.

• Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. said it will introduce same-day delivery in select markets and speed up curbside pickup orders.

 

Restaurant

• Brinker International Inc. announced that they will be raising their menu prices by 3% to 3.5%. The cause for the price hike is due to higher labor and food costs stemming from supply chain issues and the pandemic.

• In-N-Out Burger has had their only San Francisco location temporarily closed due to their refusal to check customers for their vaccination status as per local mandates. The company’s Chief Legal Officer has stated that the company will not turn away customers based on vaccination status.
