• Foot Locker Inc. has completed its acquisition of WSS. The retailer appointed Anthony Aversa as COO of WSS.

• Macy’s, Inc. announced plans to hire approximately 76,000 new employees, including approximately 48,000 for the holiday season.
• PetSmart Inc. is launching The Pharmacy at PetSmart. Customers with a prescription from their veterinarian can now place orders on petsmart.com, and medications are shipped directly to them.
• Sears Holdings Corporation announced it will close its last store in Illinois on November 14. The retailer plans to close a total of seven Sears and two Kmart stores by mid-November.

• Chick-fil-A CEO Dan T. Cathy will step down on November 1st and he will be replaced by his son Andrew T. Cathy. Dan Cathy will remain as Chairman.
• Crave Hot Dogs & Barbecue has opened a new location in Charleston, SC.
• Dave & Buster’s Inc. CEO Brain Jenkins will step down from the role and take on an advisory role through November. Kevin M. Sheehan has been named as Interim CEO until a permanent replacement can be found.
• Dave’s Hot Chicken is opening three new locations this week with two being in California and the other in Texas.
