• Southeastern Grocers announced it has opened its first alcohol-focused format. Called WDs Wine, Beer & Liquor, the stand-alone store is in Jacksonville, FL.

• Tri Star Energy LLC has acquired 13 Southern Traders conveniences stores and the Shell-branded fuel distribution business of Herndon Oil Corp.

• 1-800 FLOWERS.com Inc. announced it will hire more than 10,000 employees for the upcoming holiday season.

• Builders FirstSource Inc. announced it has acquired California TrusFrame, LLC.

• Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. announced the first Public Lands store will open on Sept. 24th, in Pennsylvania. The 50,000 sq. ft. store will focus on helping more people get outside to explore and protect America’s public lands.

• Gap Inc. reported Athleta is expanding its partnership with Recreational Equipment Inc., bringing a selection of its product to 135 REI stores and online.

• Hancock Lumber Co. Inc. reported that it plans to acquire Winnipesaukee Lumber, an independent building materials supplier in Wolfeboro, NH.

• Primark USA has announced that it will open a new 34,200 sq. ft. store in Philadelphia, PA.

• Psycho Bunny announced it will open 11 new stores nationwide by the end 2021.

• Rite Aid Corporation announced Lance Neill is joining the company as COO of its pharmacy benefits subsidiary, Elixir.

• Tory Burch LLC announced it has opened a new flagship store in New York City, NY.

• US LBM Holdings, LLC announced that it has acquired Northern Building Supply.

• Burger King has removed 120 artificial ingredients from their menu and has partnered with three musicians to highlight the change. Nelly, Anitta, and LilHuddy will all be receiving their own named meal menu items in a move to directly compete with McDonald’s celebrity offerings.

• Denny’s has deployed their mobile diner to Louisiana in order to help with disaster relief from hurricane Ida.

• Dickey’s Barbecue Pit has signed an agreement to bring eight new locations to Botswana over the next ten years.

• Dog Haus International LLC has signed an expansion agreement that will bring five new locations to Louisville and Southern Indiana over the next five years starting in 2022.

• Donatos Pizza has signed a new franchise agreement to bring three new locations to Cleveland, OH.

• Dutch Bros. Coffee is currently seeking a $3.3 billion IPO valuation. The company filed for an IPO in June.

• JINYA Holdings, Inc. will be opening two new locations in Indianapolis by February 2022.
