• Publix Super Markets Inc. recently opened its newest GreenWise Market in Tampa, FL.

• SpartanNash Company announced Tyler King has been promoted to VP of Finance.

• Thrive Market reported it has opened its third fulfillment center, in Hanover Township, PA.

• Amazon.com Inc. is planning to open 30,000 sq. ft. locations set up similar to small department stores, with the first expected to open in California and Ohio.

• Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. has named Nicole Cokley Dunlap as Chief Diversity Officer.

• Camping World Holdings, Inc. reported it plans to open 20 or more new locations over the next three years. Stores are planned for CA, DE, FL, KS, MI, MO, MT, NE, OH, TX, VT, WI, WV, and WY.

• Capri Holdings Limited announced that Joshua Schulman has been appointed CEO of the Michael Kors brand. He will succeed John D. Idol as CEO of Capri Holdings in September 2022, at which time John D. Idol will become Executive Chairman.

• The Michaels Companies, Inc. announced it plans to hire over 20,000 seasonal positions across its North American stores and distribution centers in preparation for the 2021 holiday season.

• Target Corporation has named Sarah Travis as President of Roundel, the retailer’s in-house media company.

• Target Corporation plans to open four new sortation centers this fall in Houston and Dallas, TX, Philadelphia, PA, and Lawrenceville, GA.

• Target Corporation announced it will nearly triple the number of The Disney Store shops inside its stores to more than 160 by the end of this year.

• Urban Outfitters Inc. is introducing Nuuly Thrift, a resale marketplace launching this fall.

• Von Maur Inc. will close its store at Valley West Mall in Des Moines, IA, next fall and open a new store in the city’s other mall, Jordan Creek Town Center.

• Walmart Canada reported it plans to open a 223,000 sq. ft. distribution center in Moncton, NB, in fall 2022.

• Warby Parker Inc. announced it will go public, and trade under the ticker symbol WRBY.

• Weyerhaeuser Co. announced the appointment of Travis Keatley as Senior VP.

• Another Broken Egg Café has opened a new location in North Canton, OH.

• Blaze Pizza is planning to open a new location in Fairbanks, AK later this year.

• Burger King has promoted Tom Curtis to President of Burger King U.S. & Canada.

• Curry Up Now has signed two lease agreements to be part of dining halls at Stanford University and the University of California San Diego.

• Farmer Boys Food Inc. will be raising the minimum wage for all restaurant-level employees to $15 per hour at the end of the month. The company has also opened a new location in Murrieta, CA.

• McDonald’s Corporation has promoted Morgan Flatley to Global Chief Marketing Officer. The company has also hired Tariq Hassan to succeed Flatley as Chief Marketing and Digital Customer Experience Officer.

• Mountain Mike’s Pizza is expanding into Texas with a 3 unit franchise agreement.

• Noodles & Company will be opening four restaurants in Texas over the next three years with the first occurring in late 2022.
