• The Home Depot Inc., Target Corporation and Walmart Stores Inc. announced they are changing their mask policies due to the latest CDC recommendations and the COVID -19 Delta variant.

• Lamps Plus is hiring sales associates to serve dual roles as both retail store associates and customer care agents for phone and online chats.

• New York City announced it will require customers to prove they have been vaccinated in order to enter gyms, restaurants and indoor entertainment venues beginning Sept. 13.

• Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. said it has now administered more than 29 million COVID-19 vaccinations. The company is requiring its team members to wear face coverings and is mandating that its office staff be vaccinated.

• Walmart Stores Inc. is making COVID-19 vaccines mandatory for its entire headquarters staff. The retailer will require all employees at its offices to be vaccinated by Oct. 4.

• New York City has issued a COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all workers and diners within the city limits.

• Papa John’s Pizza is looking hire 20,000 new team members across 800 region hiring events amid the national labor shortage caused by the pandemic.

• Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has added college tuition assistance to their available employee benefits in an attempt to attract and retain talent during the labor shortage.
