• Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. announced that Exec VP and Chief Human Resources Officer Christopher Harrison is departing the company later this year.
• Boise Cascade LLC reported Wayne Rancourt, current CFO and Treasurer, announced his plans to retire on May 14. Frank Elfering, VP and General Manager of Western Region Operations, is also leaving the company. The company has promoted Kelly Hibbs, currently VP and Controller, to Senior VP, CFO and Treasurer.

• Dollar General Corp. will host hiring events from April 19 through April 23, and is planning to hire up to 20,000 new employees.
• Dollar Tree Stores Inc. announced that Alasdair James recently joined the company as Exec VP Merchandising and Supply Chain.
• Dollarama Group L.P. has increased its long-term store growth target in Canada to approximately 2,000 stores during the next ten years.
• GameStop Holdings Corp. announced Ryan Cohen will become its Chairman in June.
• Lamps Plus announced that Clark Linstone has been named President of the company.
• L & W Supply announced that Nick Makar has accepted the role of Branch Manager for Chicago, IL. Kevin Nicholas has been promoted to the role of Branch Manager for Mechanicsville, MD.
• National Retail Federation has appointed Martine Reardon as Chief Marketing Officer and Exec VP of Content and Membership.
• Golf & Tennis Pro Shop Inc announced it plans to open at least five new PGA Tour Superstores in 2021. The locations include three in Texas, one in Virginia, and one in New York.
• Tractor Supply Co. said it plans to open 100 Carhartt shop-in-shop concepts in 2021. An additional 25 stores will open Carhartt shop-in-shops in 2022.
• Urban Outfitters Inc. announced Hillary Super has stepped down as Global CEO Anthropologie. Tricia D. Smith will be her replacement.
• Walmart Stores Inc. announced Jean Batthany has joined the company as the retailer’s first Chief Creative Officer. The company also hired Courtney Carlson as Senior VP of Marketing.

• Chipotle Mexican Grill has reduced their waste footprint by 51% during 2020. This was a goal the company set for themselves back in 2018.
• Crave Hot Dogs & Barbecue has opened a new location in Sacramento, CA.
• Duck Donuts Franchising Company has been acquired by NewSpring Franchise and they have announced that Betsy Hamm will be taking on the role of CEO.
• Golden Corral Buffet & Grill has opened a new location Santa Maria, CA.
• Jack in the Box Inc. announced that Chief Information Officer and Senior VP Andrew Martin will be stepping down on May 7th.
• Jake’s Franchising LLC will be opening their first franchised location in Germany.
• Just Salad LLC has voiced their support for the federal Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act and they have asked other restaurants to join them.
• McDonald’s Corporation has issued a new set of Global Brand Standards focusing on creating a more safe and inclusive workplace. Both company-owned and franchised locations will have to adhere to the standards.
• Slim Chickens has opened a new location within Joint Base located in San Antonio, TX.
• White Castle has partnered with fashion label Telfar to create a uniform collection celebrating the company’s 100th year. The uniform collection will also be available to customers.
