• GPM Investments LLC has signed an agreement to acquire 61 convenience stores with gas stations in Michigan and Ohio operating under the ExpressStop banner.

• Rutter’s Holdings Inc. announced plans to remodel at least 10 stores this year.

• Sprouts Farmers Markets will open approximately 20 new stores this year, including 10 locations in Florida. The grocer will also open two new distribution centers this year, in Aurora, CO, and Orlando, FL.

• United Natural Foods Inc. has extended its primary wholesale grocery distribution relationship with Whole Foods Market Inc. until September 2027.

 

Retail

Big Lots Stores Inc. announced it will open 50 to 60 stores this year.

• BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. announced it is now accepting federal EBT SNAP payments for online in-store pickup and curbside pickup orders in Florida and North Carolina.

• Burlington Stores, Inc. plans to open 100 new store locations this year.

• The Children’s Place Retail Stores Inc. reported it plans to close approximately 122 stores in 2021.

• Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. will open three Dick’s Sporting Goods stores and one Warehouse Sale location this month.

• GameStop Holdings Corp. has appointed Matt Francis to the newly-created role of Chief Technology Officer. Josh Krueger was appointed VP of Fulfillment. And Kelli Durkin was appointed Senior VP of Customer Care.

• House-Hasson Hardware Co. Inc. has named Steve Henry as the new President.

• Hudson’s Bay Company has entered into a partnership that establishes Saks’ e-commerce business as a standalone entity to be known as Saks. The store locations will operate separately as a company called SFA.

• Simply, Inc. has opened a new 1,562 sq. ft. Simply Mac store in Orlando, FL.

• SpartanNash Company announced Greg Molloy has joined the company as VP of Environmental Health and Safety.

• ThredUp Inc. has filed a registration statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a proposed initial public offering.

• Vince Holding Corp. has appointed Jack Schwefel as CEO. He will replace David Stefko who will continue to serve as Exec VP and CFO.

• Walmart Stores Inc. announced Todd Harbaugh, Exec VP, Supercenters, has left the company.

• Mountain Mike’s Pizza is opening a new location in Sunnyvale, CA.

• Slim Chickens has opened a new location Colorado Springs, CO.

• TOMS King LLC has hired Erin Hasselgren as COO.

• The Veggie Grill has rebranded three of their stores to a plant-based burger concept called Stand-Up Burgers.
