• Foxtrot Ventures Inc. said it plans to double its store count by the end of 2021, including two stores in Washington, DC, in March.
• Foxtrot Ventures Inc. has appointed Sumi Ghosh as COO, Scott Holloway as Senior VP of Delivery, and Caroline Barry as VP of Strategy.
• Giant Food LLC announced it is opening a two-level urban flagship store in Philadelphia, PA, on March 19, which will include a full-size Starbucks, and a station for Giant Direct orders placed online.
• Meijer Inc. announced that it is now on track to complete the rollout of its Flashfood program at all of its locations across the Midwest. The food waste reduction program aims to encourage customers to purchase products near its sell-by date, including meat, produce, seafood, as well as deli and bakery items for up to 50% via the Flashfood app.
• The Parker Companies announced it will soon open its first liquor store, Parker’s Spirits, in Pooler, GA.
• Victory Marketing LLC has completed the acquisition of the operating assets of The Spencer Companies Inc., owner of 31 MinitMan Food Stores.
• Wakefern Food Corp. announced that it has appointed Neil Falcone as its new CFO and Karen Meleta as the new Chief Communications Officer.

• American Construction Source is opening a new Homewood Lumber distribution location in Elk Grove, CA.
• Destination XL Group Inc. announced that Stacey Jones has been promoted to Chief Human Resources Officer.
• Gap Inc. announced plans to open a new distribution center in Longview, TX in 2023.
• Haverty Furniture Companies Inc. announced that Steven Burdette has joined the company as the new President. He will succeed Clarence Smith who will remain Chairman and CEO. The retailer also announced Rhonda Wolf was promoted to Senior VP, Merchandising, Scott Miles was promoted to Senior VP, Stores, and Helen Bautista was promoted to Senior VP, Marketing.
• National Lumber Co. announced Kevin Silveira has been promoted to VP of Sales. Additionally, William Conkey has been promoted to full-line Sales Manager and Todd Groman has also been promoted to Director of Operations.
• Ulta Salon, Cosmetics & Fragrance, Inc. will open its second store in New York City this month with a 12,000 sq. ft. store in Herald Square.
• Walmart Stores Inc. has promoted Denise Incandela as Exec VP Apparel and Private Brands.
• Weyerhaeuser Co. has appointed Nancy Loewe as Senior VP and CFO.

• Another Broken Egg Café has extended a franchise agreement from 4 units to 10 units that will begin opening this year in Ohio.
• BurgerFi has named Jim Esposito as COO. The company has also named Martha Stewart to their board of directors as the chair of the Product & Innovation Committee.
• Crave Hot Dogs & Barbecue has founded a non-profit organization called “Crave Saves” that will work to prevent child trafficking.
• Dippin’ Dots Franchising Co. will be opening a new flagship store in New York that will be co-branded with Doc Popcorn.
• Greens Restaurant Group LLC has pledged that their restaurant operations will be carbon neutral by 2027.
• Hungry Howie’s Pizza & Subs Inc. has opened a new franchised location Grand Haven, MI.
• IHOP Restaurant System has hired Kieran Donahue as Chief Marketing Officer.
• Just Salad LLC has made reusable bowls available for all pickup orders and the company plans to make them available for delivery in the near future.
• Little Caesar’s has named Paula Vissing as COO. Vissing previously served as the company’s President of International.

• Roy Rogers Restaurants will be opening a new restaurant in June that will be located in Eldersburg, Md.
• Shake Shack is partnering with local independent chefs to create unique menu items that will be available in select restaurants.
• Taco Bell has launched a fried chicken sandwich taco in order to compete with fast food competitors in the chicken sandwich wars.
• Zaxby’s has opened a new franchised location in Bradenton, FL. The location will feature Zaxby’s new store design with an open kitchen.
