Supermarket, Grocery, & C-Store
• Aldi Inc. plans to open 100 new stores this year, with a focus on Arizona, California, Florida and the Northeast region. The grocer plans to open its 26th regional headquarters, as well as extend curbside pickup to 500 more stores.
• Golub Corporation and Tops Markets LLC plan to merge, creating a supermarket retailer with nearly 300 stores in six states. Both companies will retain their main offices and continue to be managed locally by their respective leaders.
• Publix Super Markets Inc. recently opened a new GreenWise Market store in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The grocer said it plans to open two more GreenWise stores in Tampa and St. Augustine, FL, this year.
• United Supermarkets LLC announced that CEO Robert Taylor plans to retire on March 1, at which time he will be succeeded by the company President Sidney Hopper.

• BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. recently opened two new locations in Long Island City and Newburgh, NY.
• Kohl’s Corporation announced it will partner with Eddie Bauer to offer its entire line of merchandise to Kohl’s customers in 500 stores and online in fall 2021.
• Golf & Tennis Pro Shop Inc. plans to open at least six new PGA Tour Superstore locations in 2021.
• PVH Corp. announced that Trish Donnelly will join the company as CEO of PVH Americas.
• R.P. Lumber Co. Inc. announced it has acquired Dick-N-Sons Lumber Inc., headquarted in Blue Grass, IA.

• Another Broken Egg Café has opened a new location in Bossier City, LA.
• Bloomin’ Brands Inc. has opened a new 2-story version of their Aussie Grill that features grab-n-go service.
• Clean Juice has launched a new subscription plan that will allow customers to choose various cleansing programs and include the appropriate cold-pressed juices.
• Dave’s Hot Chicken has signed a franchise agreement to open 20 new locations in Central California through a partnership with DAMM Fine Chicken.
• Farmer Bros. Co. has opened a new distribution center in Rialto, CA. The new center is part of the company’s plan to restructure their supply chain.
• JINYA Holdings, Inc. has hired Mike LaRue as VP of Franchise Sales.
• MooYah Burgers & Fries has opened a new location in Upland, CA.
• Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen Inc. has launched a new fish sandwich called the Cajun Flounder Sandwich. The company also announced that the new sandwich can be purchased alongside sandwich insurance that will offer customers a replacement chicken sandwich.
• Simply Southern Restaurant Group LLC will be moving to a new headquarters in Atlanta during the next few months.
