7-Eleven Inc. announced that it’s added Uber Eats, Grubhub and Instacart to its delivery portfolio.

Albertsons LLC announced a pilot of e-commerce pickup lockers at selected supermarkets. Plans call for the PickUp lockers to launch first at Jewel-Osco locations in Chicago and then be deployed at Safeway locations later this year.

Albertsons LLC recently introduced Albertsons Pay, a new zero-touch checkout experience available through its loyalty app.

H Mart has expanded on-demand delivery service through a partnership with Shipt. It will provide same-day grocery delivery from its stores starting this month.

Lidl US announced that it will install new air filtration systems in all of its stores by the end of this year. The special air filters are typically found in hospitals and can help filter out COVID-19.

Meijer Inc. is now offering its pickup service at no charge, and with no need for membership.

Whole Foods Market Inc. is launching free, one-hour grocery pickup for Amazon Prime members at locations nationwide.

CVS Health and Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. are partnering with The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Department of Health and Human Services and the White House to supply COVID-19 vaccines to high-priority groups once one is approved and available.

CVS Health said that it wants to immediately hire 15,000 employees to prepare for an expected rise in COVID-19 and flu cases this fall and winter.

Applebee’s franchisee Wisconsin Apple LLC has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. The franchisee currently operates 25 locations and plans to keep them open.

Chipotle Mexican Grill is testing raising prices from 7% to 17% on delivery orders through their own app and third party platforms. The change comes as delivery makes up 50% of their digital sales since the pandemic struck in March.

Jack in the Box will now be offering chicken scented face masks for customers.

Norm’s Restaurant Inc. is launching a new ghost kitchen brand called Zombie Burger Co. The new brand was created in response to the restrictions placed on indoor dining in California.

P.F. Chang’s China Bistro will be adding 27 to-go locations in 2021. The focus on off premise sales has occurred due to COVID-19.
