• Casey’s General Stores Inc. named Larry Carroll as VP Asset Protection, Jaime Robles as VP Procurement, Nan Thomae as VP Human Resources, and Carrie Stojack as VP Guest Insights. Casey’s also promoted Sherri Hart to VP Total Rewards.
• The Giant Company announced that flu vaccinations are now available at all 132 Giant and Martin’s Food Markets. From September 13 to October 17, select Giant and Martin’s pharmacies will begin offering drive-up flu vaccinations.
• Kum & Go LLC announced Levon Hooks has joined the company as CIO.
• Trader Joe’s Co. announced it is opening new locations in Fort Wayne, IN, Freehold, NJ, Milpitas, CA, and Richmond, VA.
Retail
• Amazon.com Inc. is opening a new fulfillment center and a new delivery station in Forney, TX, as well as 11 new facilities across the Phoenix, AZ, area by the end of 2020.
• Amazon.com Inc. is creating 3,500 new tech and corporate jobs across six cities in the U.S. The company will expand its tech hubs in Dallas, TX; Detroit, MI; Denver, CO; New York City, NY; Phoenix, AZ; and San Diego, CA.
• Hudson’s Bay Co. appointed Michael Culhane as CFO.
• Payless ShoeSource Inc. said it is reemerging, both online and in-store. The retailer has set a goal of opening 300 to 500 freestanding stores across North America during the next five years, beginning with the launch of a prototype in late fall, in Miami, FL. The company intends to open 30 to 45 stores in the region by the end of next year.
• Rent the Runway Inc. said it will permanently close all its retail locations.
• Rite Aid Corporation announced it is now offering flu shots at all of its locations.
• Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. has rolled out flu shot availability to all of its pharmacies, adding safety measures to ensure patient safety.

• Captain D’s has opened a new location in Palatka, FL.
• Just Salad LLC has named Apolinar Chavez to COO and Andy Rooks as the company’s first Chief Marketing Officer.
• McDonald’s Corporation announced that Chief People Officer, Melanie Steinbach has resigned. Steinbach was promoted to the role back in June and no replacement has been named.
• Noodles & Company CFO Ken Kuick will be stepping down and no replacement has been named.
• Pizza Hut Inc. has promoted Chequan Lewis to Chief Equity Officer. Lewis will lead diversity and inclusion efforts at restaurants.
• Qdoba Mexican Eats has promoted Eric Williams to VP of Franchise Operations.
• Taco John’s International Inc. has opened a second corporate headquarters in Minneapolis in order to be closer to the majority of their franchisees.
• WaBa Grill Franchise Corp has opened its third location in Colton, CA.
• Wahlburgers has brought bottles of its Wahl Sauce to retailers across the U.S.
