• Enmarket Stations Inc. (44) announced Ryan Krebs as its new Director of Foodservice.
• McLane Company, Inc. (20) announced Susan Adzick has been promoted to Exec VP and COO. She will transition to President of McLane Foodservice in July 2020, succeeding current leader Tom Zatina.

• Earth Fare Healthy Supermarkets filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
• Foxtrot Ventures Inc. received a $17 million growth funding round and has two new locations slated to open soon.
Mergers and Acquisitions
• Fareway Stores Inc. is purchasing the assets of McGonigle’s Food Store Inc., in Kansas City, MO.
• Majors Management LLC has purchased the dealer distribution business of McPherson Companies. The deal includes 185 retail fuel supply contracts and will help expand Majors’ presence in Alabama, Florida, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Real Estate
• The Fresh Grocer is growing its store count by 50% and entering a new state with the addition of independent operator Nicholas Markets. The grocer is slated to reopen its four New Jersey stores under The Fresh Grocer name starting this month.
• Lucky’s Market, LLC has entered into asset purchase agreements with Southeastern Grocers, Seabra Foods and Hitchcock’s Markets, for a total of seven Florida locations.
Technology News
• 7-Eleven Inc. has begun testing a cashierless, checkout-free store at its corporate headquarters in Irving, TX.
• Coborn’s Inc., which operates 38 retail pharmacy locations at some of its grocery stores, has integrated ExpressRx Track, a prescription-processing system that can initially dispense up to 2,000 prescriptions per eight-hour shift with 99.99% accuracy.
