• Par Mar Stores Inc. has agreed to acquire Tahoe Management 8, LLC. The deal includes 17 Mountaineer Mart stores.
• Riiser Fuels LLC has purchased Baltus Oil Co.’s eight Bread and Butter Shop convenience stores in Wisconsin.
• Southeast Petro has finalized the acquisition of SCV Oil LLC. The transaction included four company-operated CITGO- and Shell-branded convenience stores in Walterboro and Hampton, SC, and a Dunkin’ Donuts restaurant adjoining one of the Walterboro stores.
Industry Insight
• Amazon.com Inc. announced it has selected a California site for its new grocery store concept. The company will open a new grocery store format in the Woodland Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles in 2020.

• Casey’s General Stores Inc. plans to build a new warehouse, logistics and distribution facility in Joplin, MO.
• Kum & Go LLC is planning to open 13 new stores in the Denver, CO area in the coming year.
• Roche Bros. Supermarkets Inc. has opened its fifth Brothers Marketplace store in Cambridge, MA.
• SpartanNash Company has opened a new 80,000 sq. ft. distribution center, solely for produce and floral distribution, in Fargo, ND.
• Wawa Inc. plans to open five new stores across the state of Maryland in 2020. Over the next five years, it will open an additional 10 to 15 convenience stores in the state.

• The Kroger Co. announced plans to build an Ocado-powered automated warehouse. The 350,000 sq. ft. customer fulfillment center will be located in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
