• Ahold-Delhaize (89) announced Jeff Carr, CFO, is slated to leave the company next spring. A search for a new CFO is under way.

• Albertsons LLC (185) announced that Geoff White has been appointed to Exec VP and Chief Merchandising Officer. Taking over his role is Chad Coester, who has been promoted to Senior VP of Own Brands.

• BJ’s Wholesale Club Inc. (148) announced that Lee Delaney, previously Chief Commercial Officer, has been promoted to President.

• H-E-B (118) announced Fernando Trueba has joined the company as Chief Marketing Officer of its Favor online delivery subsidiary.

• The Parker Companies (22) announced David Askew will serve as Construction Project Manager, Daniel Ben-Yisrael will serve as Real Estate Development Manager and Michael O’Donnell will serve as Construction Project Manager.

• Rich Products Corp. has acquired the Christie Cookie Co., a manufacturer of gourmet cookies and baked goods.

 

Industry Insight

• Walmart Stores Inc. plans to expand Delivery Unlimited to 1,400 stores later this fall. The service enables customers to pay an annual $98 fee or a monthly $12.95 fee to make unlimited Walmart online grocery orders.

 

Real Estate

• ExtraMile Convenience Stores LLC, a joint venture between Chevron Corp. and Jacksons Food Stores Inc., is converting 22 Jacksons Food Stores in southwestern Idaho to the ExtraMile brand.

• Hy-Vee Inc. is remodeling 14 of its Kansas and Missouri stores. The company is also rebranding Hy-Vee Gas locations to Hy-Vee Fast & Fresh Express locations.

• Morton Williams Associated Supermarkets has opened two new Manhattan stores, as well as the first Morty’s Wine & Beer Bar.

• Stew Leonard’s opened a new store in Paramus, NJ, its first in the state.
