• Delek US Holdings, Inc. (90) announced Daryl Schofield will join the company as Exec VP of Business Development.
• Empire Petroleum Partners (8) has appointed Rick Golman as its new CEO.
• Fresh Thyme Farmers Market (109) has promoted Dean Little to COO. In other appointments, Tod Pepin was named Chief Merchandising Officer.
• Kum & Go LLC (78) announced Erin C. Kuhl has joined the company as CFO.
• Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores Inc. (105) has hired Spencer Haines as its new CFO.
• Marathon Petroleum Corporation (53) announced Donald Templin has been appointed Exec VP and CFO.
• Parkland Fuel Corporation (47) has appointed Dave Jardine as its CFO, and Dan Dunstan as its VP of Retail. The company also announced John Jardine will assume the role of VP of Lubricants and Specialty Products.
• Weis Markets Inc. (79) announced Robert Gleeson has joined the company as VP of Fresh Merchandising. He takes over for John Grimes who recently retired.
Mergers and Acquisitions
• Appleegreen has reached an agreement to acquire 46 gas stations with c-stores from CrossAmerica Partners LP in Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
• EG America LLC has completed its acquisition of Fastrac Markets LLC. The transaction included 54 convenience stores.
• Getty Realty Corp. has purchased a six-property portfolio of Mobil-branded convenience and gasoline retail sites in Los Angeles from 1234 M Division Street Inc.
Industry Insight
• Ahold-Delhaize announced it is opening a fresh processing facility and culinary innovation center in North Kingstown, RI.
• The Kroger Co. plans to build a new high-tech customer fulfillment center in Forest Park, GA, that will open in 2021.
• Ridley’s Food Corp., in a partnership with Nimble Rx, will launch on-demand prescription drug delivery for customers in Utah and Idaho.
• Tops Markets LLC has teamed up with SPoT Coffee Ltd. to open Spot Express cafés in select stores.

• Giant Food Stores LLC will open its second Giant Heirloom Market in Philadelphia on August 2.
• Pilot Flying J announced it will open six new travel centers in West Texas this year.
• Schnuck Markets Inc. announced it is closing its Wilshire Village store in East Alton, IL.
Technology News
• Cumberland Farms Inc. has released the Cumberland Farms app, the next edition of its SmartPay Check-Link program. It has also introduced a Coffee “Cup-Scription” program.
• Food Lion LLC launched online grocery pickup at 105 stores in the Carolinas and Virginia. Called Food Lion To-Go, the service enables customers to buy groceries and have them available for pickup at a local store in as soon as an hour.
• H-E-B recently opened its new Eastside Tech Hub innovation center in East Austin, TX.
• The Parker Companies introduced DailyPay technology, a program that allows employees to access their pay daily, weekly or on demand. Employees can transfer some or all of their banked pay at any point for a nominal fee.
• The Save Mart Companies now offers same-day home delivery through Instacart at all of its stores in California and Nevada.
• Sheetz Inc. is partnering with Coinsource to bring bitcoin ATMs to five of its locations in Pennsylvania and one in North Carolina.
