• ABC Supply Co. (37) has promoted Bryan Olson to Managing Director of its Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc. subsidiary.

• Do it Best Corp. (147) promoted Scott Sproul to Director of International Sales. The company also announced the promotion of Kevin Tindall to Regional Sales and Business Development Manager.

• The Home Depot Inc. (107) said its CFO Carol Tomé plans to retire on Aug. 31. Richard McPhail, currently Senior VP of Finance Control and Administration, will be promoted to Exec VP and CFO following Ms. Tome’s retirement.

• Marcus Lumber Co. Inc. announced that it has expanded into the full service electrical contracting business. The Marcus Lumber electrical division will serve customers through new residential and commercial wiring, new equipment and fixture installation, and full-service electrical repairs.

• Mid-Am Building Supply Inc. has partnered with KWP Siding Products. The partnership provides Mid-Am with a product for its engineered siding needs.

Mergers and Acquisitions

• Busy Beaver Building Centers Inc. announced that it has acquired Three Sons’ True Value Hardware in Minerva, OH.

• Lowe’s Companies, Inc. has acquired the Retail Analytics platform from Boomerang Commerce. The acquisition includes the proprietary technology and tools for the Retail Analytics platform but excludes customer contracts and related confidential information and data.

Real Estate

• ABC Supply Co. Inc. announced it has recently opened new locations in Rosenberg, TX and Avondale, AZ.

• Busy Beaver Building Centers Inc. will open its newest location in Calcutta, OH. The 60,000 square feet home improvement center will open on May 24. The company is expanding into central Pennsylvania with openings planned for Chambersburg and Red Lion, PA, in the fall.

• Menard Inc. has entered the Cleveland, OH market. A 243,000 sq. ft. location opened in Brooklyn, a suburb of Cleveland. Another opening in New Philadelphia, OH is also in the works.
