Midwestern grocer Hy-Vee announced that it has acquired 10-unit Webber & Judd, a Rochester, MN-based pharmacy founded in 1862. The shops will be closed until mid-April when they’ll reopen as Hy-Vee HealthMarket RX stores.

The purchase continues Hy-Vee’s recent pharmacy expansion, following last month’s purchase of the pharmacy assets of 6 Shopko locations and the December acquisition of the business of 22 additional Shopko pharmacies in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

With its recent spate of acquisitions, Hy-Vee’s pharmacy count has grown to more than 250 according to Chain Store Guide’s Drug Stores & HBC Chains Database.
