The Advanced Auto Parts deal is the latest development in what has become a major component of Walmart’s ecommerce strategy – thwart Amazon by building its own retail ecosystem on that leverages acquired brands and partnerships to create a range of storefronts, as we noted earlier this year in relation to the apparel industry.
