• Louisiana-Pacific acquired International Barrier Technology Inc., a flame-retardant coatings manufacturer.
• Lowe’s is laying off an undisclosed number of delivery personnel across the US as it switches to the use of third-party delivery providers. Lowe’s has yet to comment on which locations are affected and the total number of layoffs.
• Sears Holdings announced that it is expanding distribution of Kenmore appliances by selling them on Amazon.com. The company will also synch its Kenmore Smart appliances with Amazon’s voice-command Alexa program.
• US LBM Holdings filed a preliminary prospectus with the SEC in preparation for its initial public offering.
