Louisiana-Pacific acquired International Barrier Technology Inc., a flame-retardant coatings manufacturer.

Lowe’s is laying off an undisclosed number of delivery personnel across the US as it switches to the use of third-party delivery providers. Lowe’s has yet to comment on which locations are affected and the total number of layoffs.

Sears Holdings announced that it is expanding distribution of Kenmore appliances by selling them on Amazon.com. The company will also synch its Kenmore Smart appliances with Amazon’s voice-command Alexa program.

US LBM Holdings filed a preliminary prospectus with the SEC in preparation for its initial public offering.
