• Caleres has tapped Malcolm Robinson as President of the company’s new Men’s and International Division.
• Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. has named Scott Hudler as Senior VP, Chief Marketing Officer.
• JCPenney Company, Inc. announced its CFO, Edward Record, has left the company. Andrew Drexler, who serves as Chief Accounting Officer and Controller, will be taking the role of Interim CFO.
• Kohl’s Corporation has appointed Bruce Besanko to the position of CFO. He will replace Wesley McDonald.
• National Retail Federation named Cristina Ceresoli as Senior VP Retail Strategy.
• The Neiman Marcus Group announced that Sarah Hendrickson has left her post as Chief Security Information Officer.
• Signet Jewelers Limited announced it has named Virginia “Gina” Drosos its first-ever female CEO. The company also announced Exec VP Stuart Lee and Senior VP Clark McEwen have retired.

• Alfred Angelo abruptly shuttered its operations, including its 62 store locations, and filed for bankruptcy protection.
• True Religion Apparel Inc. announced it has filed for bankruptcy protection.
Industry Insight
• Camping World Holdings has given an update on its plans for Gander Mountain stores. The company plans to operate 57 locations. Liquidation sales started in May at all 162 Gander Mountain stores. The plan for the locations that have survived the cut is for them to reopen under the new brand of Gander Outdoors. The stores will feature a fresh mix of Gander Outdoors, Overton’s and Camping World products and services. Camping World Holdings plans to open 45 new stores during the next two years.
• JCPenney Company, Inc. announced it is opening toy shops in its stores, and has already expanded its online toy assortment.
• Sears Holdings Corporation debuted its first store under the Sears Appliances & Mattresses banner, in Pharr, TX. The 20,000 sq. ft. store features interactive displays of top home appliances brands in kitchen vignettes. It also allows visitors to experience the top mattress brands. Using a tablet, shoppers can select common kitchen layouts and appliances and further customize the experience by choosing colors and finishes.

• Eloquii Design Inc. has announced that it will launch its first brick-and-mortar location at the Easton Town Center in Columbus, OH, this September. Eloquii will open a new store in Chicago, IL, next month.
• The Gymboree Corp. has announced plans to start closing 350 of its stores.
• L.L.Bean Inc. has opened its first Wisconsin store in the city of Brookfield.

• Nike Inc. has announced that it will begin selling some of its products directly through Instagram.
