This month, we take a look at the companies and leads that the Chain Store Guide research team has added to our Leading Chain Tenants database in the last 31 days. (Check out graphic below that maps the additions by HQ location and relative size in terms of number of units.)

Restaurant chains and franchisees again feature prominently, as the team has a number of industry-specific data-gathering initiatives under way. In other industries, additions of note include two equipment rental companies in the hardware space, Sunbelt Rentals (559 locations) and United Rentals (887 locations) and a growing specialty retailer with a great concept, IT’SUGAR, which CSG projects will open 15 to 20 units in the next 12 months.  In all, the 49 companies added this month represent 2,618 existing storefronts
