Founded in 2003 by Bo and Trish Sharon, Colorado-based natural/organic Lucky’s Market signed a partnership agreement with Kroger in April 2016, a move that signals the continuation and likely acceleration of store growth that began in 2014. The company recently shifted away from an expansion plan focused on college towns towards a more concentrated geographic approach. Florida has been the primary target of late with seven new stores in 2016 and at least three more expected for 2017. Representatives have commented that we can expect at least eight new stores in total this year (as reflected in the chart below) but that number is almost certain to grow.
