DSW Inc. announced Mary Meixelsperger, Senior VP and CFO, has resigned from the company. Jared Poff has been promoted to Senior VP, Finance, and interim CFO.

Francesca’s Holdings Corp. announced the departure of CEO Michael Barnes. Richard Kunes was named Interim Chairman, President and CEO.

Foot Locker Inc. announced the appointment of Scott Martin as Senior VP Real Estate.

Ralph Lauren Corporation announced it has hired Jane Hamilton Nielsen as its new CFO replacing Robert Madore. She will take the role after departing Coach Inc. in August. At that time Andrea Shaw Resnick will be appointed interim CFO.

Tiffany & Co. announced that CFO Ralph Nicolette has resigned from the company.

Under Armour Inc. announced former Senior VP, Dave Dombrow, will return to the brand as Chief Design Officer, beginning Aug. 1, 2016.

Victoria’s Secret Stores has named Jan Singer as its new CEO, and appointed Greg Unis as CEO of its beauty division.


Industry Insight

Charming Charlie Inc. has opened its first store in Oman.

Coach Inc. announced the opening of its new headquarters at 10 Hudson Yards in New York City, NY.

Cole Haan has unveiled the brand’s first North American location to showcase its new residential-style design concept in the Dallas NorthPark Center.

Gap Inc. said it plans to close its fleet of 53 Old Navy stores in Japan and also shutter 22 Banana Republic stores, primarily outside of North America.

Hudson’s Bay Company announced plans for an expansion into the European market. The retailer plans to launch up to 20 stores in the Netherlands over the next several years.

Sears Holdings announced plans to test a freestanding appliance specialty store concept. The 10,000 sq. ft. Sears Appliances store will have interactive displays that allow customers to view home appliances in kitchen vignettes.


Real Estate

Caleres announced it opened its first Sam Edelman store in Texas; one of six new stores the company plans to open this year.

Gander Mountain announced stores are slated to open this fall in Parker, CO, Warrington Township, PA, and Frisco, TX. The new stores will range from 52,000 to 57,000 square feet.

Saks Fifth Avenue has announced plans to close its store at The Mall at Short Hills in Short Hills, NJ, to make way for a new location at the American Dream shopping and entertainment center in East Rutherford, NJ. The company also unveiled plans to open its third Canadian store in Calgary, AB. The 115,000 sq. ft. store will open in January 2018.

True Religion Apparel Inc. opened its first location in New Orleans, LA. The new 1,936 sq. ft. store will be inside the Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel.


Technology News

DSW Inc. is partnering with 3D footwear printing specialist Feetz to create custom fit, sustainably made shoes.

The Neiman Marcus Group is expanding a partnership with mobile charging station provider ChargeItSpot with a planned nationwide rollout that will result in 37 mobile phone charging stations installed across 30 locations.
