AmerisourceBergen announced that Steven Collis, President and CEO, will also assume the title of Chairman following the retirement of Chairman Richard Gozon in March 2016.

Birchbox has hired Philippe Pinatel as its new President and COO,  Douglas Simpson as President of Retail, Benjamin Fay as VP of Retail Development and Customer Experience, and Andrew Lande-Shannon as Design Director of Offline Retail.

Walmart Stores Inc. named George Riedl as Senior VP, President Health and Wellness.

Mergers and Acquisitions

CVS Health and Target Corp. recently announced that CVS Health has completed the acquisition of Target’s pharmacy and clinic businesses. CVS Health acquired Target’s 1,672 pharmacies across 47 states and will operate them through a store-within-a-store format, branded as CVS/pharmacy.

Real Estate

Fruth Pharmacy opened a new location in Charleston, WV on Nov. 16. The space was previously occupied by Highland Pharmacy.
