Kmart Pharmacy division announced that it has hired Phil Keough as Senior VP and President, Pharmacy.
McKesson announced that Bansi Nagji has been appointed Exec VP Corporate Strategy and Business Development.

Walgreens Boots Alliance announced the appointment of George Fairweather as Exec VP and Global CFO. He will succeed Timothy McLevish, who will continue as Senior Advisor to the CEO for finance, integration and business development. The company also announced the appointment of Marco Pagni as Exec VP and Global Chief Legal and Administrative Officer.
Weis Markets announced that Rick Bhandari has joined the company as Director Pharmacy Operations.
Mergers and Acquisitions:
Macy’s Inc. announced it will acquire beauty and skin-care chain Bluemercury Inc.
Rite Aid is set to acquire leading independent pharmacy benefit manager Envision Pharmaceutical in a deal valued at $2 billion.
Industry Insight:
The Little Clinic, which is a subsidiary of Kroger, opened two new locations this month inside Kroger stores in Hebron in northern Kentucky and Bardstown in the Louisville area.
Rite Aid launched an exclusive skin-care line called Receutics Active Skin Repair across 200 stores in New Jersey and the Seattle-area, as well as online at Receutics.com.
Rite Aid announced that 24 RediClinics are now open inside select Rite Aid pharmacies in the greater Baltimore/Washington D.C. and Philadelphia markets. The company plans to open additional RediClinics inside select Rite Aid pharmacies across greater Seattle later this spring.

General Nutrition Centers, Inc. announced plans to open 125 new GNC locations in 2015. The company also announced it would open 150 new international franchise locations, and 30 new GNC-Rite Aid store-within-a-store locations.
Rite Aid Corp. said it plans to build a 900,000 square foot distribution center in Spartanburg, SC, its first new distribution center in 15 years. The new distribution center will employ nearly 600 people.
ULTA Beauty opened a new location on Feb. 6 at Lewisville Towne Crossing in Lewisville, TX.
