Blood might be thicker than water, but definitely not as thick as frozen custard.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers concept was born and crafted in a small-town Wichita kitchen in the middle of Great Plains Kansas. Inspired by their father, Frederick “Freddy” Simon, Bill and Randy Simon and restaurateur, Scott Redler, built the foundation of Freddy’s brand on “real family history, exciting tastes, loving memories, and strong relationships.”

Studies have shown that growth, sales, and positive feedback from customers is directly related to the founders’ decision to create a brand reflecting the values of an era dedicated to quality and timeless traditions. While the “Build Your Own Burgers” and “Let’s Put Everything in the Kitchen on Your Burger” craze seems to be taking over, Freddy’s has managed to not only stay competitive, but also remain successful by keeping things simple. By serving up high-quality, simple, and era-anchored food (1950’s to be exact), Freddy’s continues to be a brand that guests appreciate.

Founded in 2002, Freddy’s decided to begin franchising in 2004 which increased its store count from one to four. As of August 2014, there are more than 120 locations in 22 states. Freddy’s projected 25 new unit openings by the end of this year with expansion deals in ID, TN, and WY. Additionally, development agreements have been signed for more than 600 new Freddy’s slated to open over the next decade.

With a bond as thick as its custard, Freddy’s remains a brand that will be felt in the stomachs and in the hearts of its senior team, franchisees, employees, and patrons for decades to come.
