Personnel Update:

84 Lumber Co. promoted Don Baker to the position of VP of Talent Acquisition.

Cedar Creek has brought Glenn Arthur on board as national industrial sales manager.

Do it Best Corp. has promoted Bob Gumash to Regional Sales and Business Development Manager for the Northeastern United States. He replaces Rob Schmiedel, who was recently promoted to national sales manager.

McCoy’s Building Supply announced the promotions of several executives — including one representing the fourth generation of family leadership — to senior positions.  Meagan McCoy Jones has been promoted to Senior VP and COO.  James Lewallen has been appointed to the newly created position of VP Culture and Customer Experience, and Waylon Walker has been promoted to VP Store Operations.

Patrick Lumber‘s board of directors elected Dave Halsey to succeed Jim Rodway as President.

Restoration Hardware co-CEO Carlos Alberini is leaving the luxury home furnishings retailer.  The company is now left in the hands of its other co-CEO Gary Friedman, who said he will be looking for a replacement for Alberini’s position.

Russin Lumber added Scott Orr to the executive team as VP Market Development.

Wayfair has appointed Christiane Lemieux as Executive Creative Director.

Weyerhaeuser has named Rhonda Hunter Senior VP Timberlands, succeeding the retiring Tom Gideon.

Weyerhaeuser has named John Enlow VP Southern Timberlands, effective Feb. 24.  Enlow’s appointment fills a vacancy the company had open since Rhonda Hunter was promoted to SVP Timberlands.


Financial Focus:

Ace Hardware Corp. reported total fiscal 2013 revenues of $4.2 billion, an increase of 8.2% over the previous year.

Plum Creek Timber Co. announced that for the full-year revenues of $1.34 billion were essentially flat from revenues from last year.

RONA Inc. announced its annual financial results for 2013.  Total annual revenues were down to $4.19 billion from and adjusted total of $4.44 billion from the previous year.

The Sherwin-Williams Company reported that net sales for the Paint Stores Group was up 10.9% to $6.0 billion for the full year,

Tractor Supply Co. reported big gains in sales for the year ending December 2013.  For the full year, net sales increased 10.7% to $5.16 billion, as comps increased 4.8%. Those results came during a fiscal year in which the company opened 102 new stores and closed two stores. It had opened 92 new stores in fiscal 2012.

Universal Forest Products, Inc. announced 2013 results.  The Company reported annual net sales of $2.5 billion for 2013, an increase of 20.2 percent over 2012.

Weyerhaeuser announced net sales for the year of $8.5 billion, up from $7.1 billion in 2012.
