Personnel Update:

ABC Supply has named Steve Reuter Exec Director of American Construction Metals, a business unit of the company.  ACM is a manufacturer of metal roofing, siding and related products.

Ace Hardware appointed Tom Knox as President and CEO for Westlake Ace Hardware.  Westlake, was purchased by the co-op in late 2012 and is Ace’s largest member. Knox is leaving his role as VP Retail Business Development at Ace’s corporate offices and will operate from Lenexa, KS at Westlake headquarters.  Knox replaces George Smith, who had served as CEO of Westlake Ace Hardware before the retailer was purchased by the co-op, and remained with Westlake afterwards

Blish-Mize Co. announced that Jonathan D. Mize has been appointed CEO, succeeding his father, John H. Mize.. He will be the fifth generation of the Mize family to hold the title of CEO. He also serves as president & COO of Hardware House, a subsidiary of Blish-Mize Co.  John H. Mize will become Executive Chairman of Blish-Mize Co. and will remain chairman of the company’s board of directors.

BlueLinx Holdings, Inc. has announced a new President and CEO.   Mitchell Lewis is now leading the company.  Additionally, Executive Chairman Howard Cohen is stepping down, though he (and Lewis) will both serve as members of the board. Roy Haley, who has been on the board since May 2013, will take Cohen’s place as Non-Executive Chairman.

Gracious Home has named former Lumber Liquidators executive Rob Morrison as its new COO.

Lumber Liquidators announced that Senior VP of Stores and Operations, Rob Morrison, has left the company to become COO at Gracious Home.

Lumber Liquidators announced the promotions of James Davis to Senior VP Sales and Charles Schwartz to CIO and Senior VP Business Development.

North American Building Material Distributors Association (NBMDA) announced executive changes for 2014:  Donald F. Schalk of C.H. Briggs Company is the president of the organization. Other officers include; VP Bill Sauter, OHARCO; and Treasurer Wayne Moriarty, Atlantic Plywood.

PPG Industries has announced the hiring of Shelley Bausch as VP Global Industrial Coatings.

Snavely Forest Products hired Scott Bosse as the company’s newest Senior Account Manager in the Baltimore division.

Tractor Supply Company announced that its Board of Directors has elected Cynthia T. Jamison to succeed James F. Wright as Chairman of the Board upon the conclusion of Mr. Wright’s term.  Mr. Wright resigned his position as a board member effective December 31, 2013, consistent with Mr. Wright’s plan to serve as Executive Chairman of the Board with a term of one year, as previously announced in September 2012.

Weyerhaeuser has named Rhonda Hunter Senior VP Timberlands, succeeding soon-to-be-retired Tom Gideon.

WOLF, the York, Pa.-based supplier and distributor of building products announced that Craig Danielson has been named CEO.   Danielson succeeds Tom Wolf, a sixth-generation member of the founding Wolf family who announced his retirement in June in order to run for governor of Pennsylvania.  Danielson most recently served as president of both The Wolf Organization, which focuses on distribution to independent dealers, and WOLF Home Products, which develops WOLF-branded products.
