A leading convenience store operator in the Midwest, Kum & Go ranks in the top 25 in U.S. convenience store sales for fiscal 2011. The company is growing, and recently announced a major economic investment in Central Arkansas. The company will be investing $70 million to $80 million in the next five years and creating approximately 150 new jobs by the end of 2012. Within the next five years, Kum & Go will have 20 to 25 stores in Central Arkansas. Other expansions included a November 2011 announcement to open at least five new locations in the Pikes Peak region. It is considering opening five or more locations in Colorado Springs. Also announced in January of 2012, Kum & Go LLC will build 20 to 25 stores in the Colorado Springs,CO region within the next five years. The first store in the region is expected to open later this year.

Kum & Go also strives to be an industry leader in green practices. In December, 2009, it became the first convenience store in Iowato receive LEED certifications for two stores.  According to the company, ‘Kum & Go was also one of the first convenience store chains in the nation to offer a 10% ethanol blend. E-10, a no-lead gasoline, accounted for nearly 40% of our total gallons sold in 2005. It was introduced in the Springfield, Mo., and Tulsa, Okla., markets in late 2007.’
